Balmain Spring/Summer 2012

Newly appointed creative director Olivier Rousteing, debuts rock chic S/S2012 collection with great street appeal while keeping in connection with the traditional Balmain aesthetic. The look are young and fresh, a bit heavy for an ideal South African summer. from vests with leather appliqué to the hooded waist coat, the look are simple with lots of layering.

#TrendUpdate: Double Denim.

While you might find it best to pull off the denim on denim  trend by pairing two different shades of denim, the denim division editorial by men's style Australia lead to me  rethinking the idea... although tricky, I however feel that pairing the same shade of denim (whether dark,light or bleached) might work.

• adding detail to one shade. (like leather)
• create a degree of separation (darker belt or tie)
• pairing it up (simple fitted blazer)

#PFW Hermès S/S 2012

I hear of Hermès and I think sophisticated luxury with the touch of elegance, a feel creative director Veronique Nichanian created for the their spring/summer 2012 collection. The collection feature simple yet classic pieces, 
from chic shorts ( which I would think twice before putting them on) to pyjama inspired loss fitted trousers with basic palettes. sexy style for the relaxed man.
