MBFWA | Street Style

Scott Schuman also know as The Sartorialist was in town for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa, while we say a few snaps from him at fashion week, our very own street style blogger Anthony Bila aka The Expressionist got to share with us, what the fashionistas wore.

The Expressionist will be posting ten more snaps everyday this week so keep a look out on his blog.

MBFWA | Front Row

Hello sweets, so MBFW Africa has come and gone and of course I wasn't there ( major sad face ), however thanks to Gary Stemett of SDR Photos, I got the see a series of fellow fashion faces in front row. PS: please excuse Jen Su's face, that woman doesn't have a single fashion bone in here body, I do love here hats though.
Congrats to Simon Deiner on the AFI outstanding contribution to fashion award.

Pichulik X Lalesso | The Promise of Summer

27 October 2012

Lalesso x Pichulik began when Lalesso invited Pichulik to create the neck pieces for their much anticipated spring summer 2013 Collection at Mercedes Benz fashion week cape town. (see: Pinchulik summer look-book here)
After a meeting of minds and a mutual appreciation for Resort collections, traveling, Africa and aesthetics of the exotic, it seemed only natural to join forces again. Thus we present the Lalesso X Pichulik bag collection – a marriage between the Lalesso fabrics with the Pichulik ropes and accessories.
A romantic holiday of dancing ‘til dawn, midnight salty-sea swims, exotic markets with decadent smells of mandarin and sweet papaya. Laughter, friends and bags to carry you through those lazy lunches, bicycle adventures and evenings where you breathe in the promises of Summer and get ready to just – let go.

MBFWA | Craig Native

The urban streets just got more quirkier, Craig Native's offering at the MBFWA certainly kept to his Afrocentric influenced aesthetic. Denim and camouflage infusion were dominant in the collection, while prints and artistic detailing gave the collection an African modern quirk yet still wearable.
